Earth Friendly Generation celebrates its first Foundation Day
Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Earth Friendly Generation (EFG) observed its first Foundation Day at its conference hall at Chiephobozou Town under Kohima district. The celebration began with the lighting of a candle by Akato Kiba, Co-Ordinator, Nick Software Solutions, Chennai followed by invoking of God blessing by Peletuonuo Alphonsa.
Rükravolie Rülho, Vice President, Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO), who was the special guest, complimented EFG as a first of its kind working only in the field of environmental protection in Nagaland, according to a press release. In this generation and fast-changing world, he emphasized that to bring change, one cannot do the same old thing. “It is best to come up with something which people have never done before as EFG is doing something at present and for the future generation.”
The special guest further pointed out that the Government and some other organizations have come up with many programs for environmental protection, however, civil societies are less aware and showing less concern for the environment. Stating that EFG is doing a good job on an urgent issue, he said the organization is worth encouraging and supporting. Hence, he requested all the members who are closely associated and those who are indirectly associated to carry on the EFG mission and help it grow bigger.
He also gave away the certificate to the EFG volunteers who had helped the EFG in different ways for the past one year and encouraged them to play an active role in protecting the environment under the initiatives of EFG.
Meanwhile, Earth Friendly Generation thanked Dominic Deepan, Founder and CEO, Ferrando Web Technologies Private Limited, Chennai for designing the EFG website www.earthfriendlygeneration.org.
